DSHA Parent eNews | May 8, 2023

Parent eNews | Monday, May 8

Dear DSHA Parents and Guardians,
How good and kind it is when God’s people live together in unity! - Psalm 133:1
Each school day, we close our morning and afternoon prayer at DSHA with, “Jesus, help me to be Your goodness and kindness.” Jesus was a worker and carpenter who labored every day. Although He must have been tired at the end of a long day, He put forth his best effort every day as the Son of God.
This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. DSHA teachers are beautiful examples of the goodness and kindness of Jesus, and they put forth their best effort every day. They work tirelessly on behalf of our daughters in the classroom, through co-curricular activities, and in encouragement of their faith formation. Our faculty helps inspire our daughters to grow in faith, heart, and intellect.
How good and kind it is when God’s people live together in unity! During this week of teacher appreciation, I would encourage you to send a note of gratitude to one teacher who has made a positive impact in the life of your daughter.
God Bless,
Dan Quesnell
Principal

NEW! 2023-2024 Volunteer School Nurses | DSHA would like to maintain a school nursing presence in the building. We are exploring the possibility of building a pool of volunteer registered nurses in our parent and grandparent community who would be interested in volunteering consistently at DSHA next year. Other applicable training will be considered.
In this role, the volunteer nurses will assess students who come to the office with various symptoms, help manage chronic student health issues, be part of the emergency medical response team, and assist DSHA in keeping proper records. Potentially interested parents or grandparents should email Dean of Student Affairs Rachel Fredricks.
