2024-2025 Angelaire Auditions
Auditions for the 2024-25 Angelaires will take place after school on Wednesday, April 10. Interested students may sign up here. Read below for the audition requirements:- Sing 32 measures (or about 1 minute) from a song that showcases the auditioner's voice. The song should be from contemporary Broadway or pop, jazz, rock radio. Participants should bring their own sheet music to the audition.
- Perform the audition dance. This dance will be taught during Dasher Time on Thursday, March 24 and Tuesday, April 9 before auditions take place on April 10. A video will also be posted on the Angelaires website.
- Sing in small groups. The Angelaires will teach a song at the audition and ask the participant to sing in 3-4-part harmony.
The Angelaires are DSHA’s Music Ambassadors and sing for community and school events throughout the school year as well as the Christmas and Spring concerts. The troupe travels often (Nashville in 2022, Orlando in 2024) and performs pop, jazz, showtunes, and contemporary acapella songs from a variety of decades. Angelaires is a class at DSHA and rehearses during the 9th hour (3:15-4 p.m.) Monday through Friday. Students involved in sports can definitely be in the Angelaires. Prior years have seen students compete in field hockey, ice hockey, rugby, track and field, gymnastics, dance team, and softball.Contact: Zach Ziegler

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee recognizes April 21–April 27 as Safe Environment Awareness Week. Each year in the month of April, which is recognized around the country as child abuse prevention month, we dedicate a week to elevating the general awareness of the Church’s efforts to keep our children safe. We want people to know that we are committed to maintaining safe environments in our parishes and schools through adult child abuse prevention training; criminal background checks for all clergy, volunteers working with minors, and employees; safety training for children in each grade level; and adhering to all mandatory reporting requirement laws.- Did you know? In 2023, in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, over 250 Safe Environment Education Sessions were conducted with over 4,400 adults trained in identifying signs of abuse and neglect, over 7,900 criminal background checks were conducted on clergy, employees, and volunteers, and about 40,000 children were trained in Safe Environment topics. Every year in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, each parish and school is required to complete a report documenting their compliance with the Safe Environment Program’s policies and procedures. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment Office uses those reports to compile an archdiocesan report for USCCB audit firm Stonebridge Partners on our archdiocesan compliance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has been found compliant every year since 2004.
